The League of Jewish Women is a non-fund-raising voluntary
welfare organisation helping people of all ages, regardless
of race, religion or ability.
The Bury Group meets monthly in the Eli and Edith Morris
Reception Room at the shul.
Members are involved in varied rotas such as Friendship Clubs,
Schools, Day Centres, Hospitals,
Meals-on-Wheels, and many more.
If you have any time to spare on a regular basis either
weekly, fortnightly or monthly to suit and would like to
find out more, get in touch with the BURY Group's
co-chairs
Robbie Frankel or Norma
Harris via the shul office, or
secretary Helena Rich - telephone
07720 251 600 or email
h_rich@sky.com.
Gentlemen are now also eligible to join the League - they
are called LADS - (League Associate Division).
So put your spare time to good use and brighten someone else's
day. Come to one of our meetings and find out how you can
become involved in this rewarding and fulfilling organisation.
An added bonus is the opportunity to meet new people and make
new friends.
