Manchester Jewish Soccer League
The Manchester Jewish Soccer League (MJSL) has been holding its executive and council meetings at Bury Shul for many years.
The MJSL provides organised grass roots football for the Jewish Community in Greater Manchester and the North West of England for around 250 people on a weekly basis within a safe environment.
The MJSL takes its responsibility in promoting community cohesion very seriously and over the years has donated to many Jewish charities, more recently including Magen David Adom (Israel’s only national medical emergency, disaster, ambulance and blood service), Zichron Menachem (the Israeli association for the support of children with cancer and their families) and UJIA Operation Equaliser (a project in Northern Israel which promotes Jewish and Arab children and youth to come together through football).
The MJSL in 2018 is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
